A significant portion of our practice focuses on litigating trademark disputes involving logos, products and package designs. We have successfully represented Rolex, IBM, Steinway & Sons, Slater Electric, and Boselli Industrie Tessili, among others, in trademark or unfair competition lawsuits. We understand that our clients reap enormous competitive benefits from the strength and reputation of their brand image, and act quickly and forcefully to protect these invaluable assets.
In addition, we have successfully brought and defended cases for trademark and trade dress infringement, false advertising, trade secret violations and related causes of action in courts throughout the United States for clients in a wide variety of industries such as consumer products, pharmaceuticals and industrial products. Working with Rolex, we successfully established that the sale of Rolex products altered with non-genuine parts constitutes infringement and counterfeiting. For example, in Rolex Watch U.S.A., Inc. v. JBJ Distribs., Inc., Rolex prevailed after trial and we successfully defended the judgment on appeal to the Fifth Circuit. In Rolex Watch U.S.A., Inc. v. Zeotec Diamonds Inc., Rolex prevailed on summary judgment on liability and damages and was awarded $1.8 million.
