Robert K. Goethals has extensive experience in patent litigation, prosecution, client counseling and transactional matters covering a wide range of technologies, including medical devices, automotive systems, consumer products, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, watercraft, tobacco products and chemicals. He has litigated patent cases in federal courts, in arbitration proceedings and before the International Trade Commission. He prepares and prosecutes patent applications in the mechanical and electromechanical arts. Mr. Goethals also provides counseling to clients regarding patent infringement, validity, enforceability and freedom to practice opinions, patentability analyses and the acquisition and licensing of intellectual property rights.
